About Us

Louis Berkowitz is Editor-in-Chief of the Chicago Policy Review and a second-year MPP student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. He is interested in politics, international relations, and economic statecraft. Before Harris, Louis worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Goldman Sachs, and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Tyler Redmond is Managing Editor of the Chicago Policy Review and a second-year MBA/MPP joint-degree student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Harris School of Public Policy. Before Booth and Harris, he worked in healthcare investment banking at Robert W. Baird & Co. and in strategy and operations finance at Forefront Dermatology. Tyler’s background now informs his focus on health policy, social interventions, and sustainable finance.

Tina Wayne is a second-year Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. She graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science (International Relations) and East Asian Languages and Culture (Japanese) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2024. As Director of Digital Publications, Tina brings experience as a deputy and graphic designer for the 2026 Print Edition. Her policy interests include international development, foreign policy, and implementing rights-based trade agreements. She is excited to streamline CPR’s digital and print presence, expanding accessibility and readership.

Michael Dorsey is an MPP candidate at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business. After several years in finance and real estate development, he made a career pivot to pursue a longstanding interest in foreign policy and international affairs, with a particular focus on U.S. grand strategy amid a shifting global order and the reemergence of great-power competition. As Executive Editor, Commentary, he hopes to encourage thoughtful discussion of today’s most pressing policy challenges.

Sarah Lerner is a second-year Master of Public Policy student at the Harris School of Public Policy. She is a born-and-raised Chicagoan who returned after a few years away for her undergraduate education and holds BAs from Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin. Her policy interests center on energy and foreign affairs, and she has experience in clean energy consulting.

Shridha Pai is a second-year MPP student specializing in data analytics with a background in psychology and behavioral economics. Her interests lie in development economics, particularly inequality and labor economics. As Executive Editor, From the Field, she is excited to expand CPR’s new vertical and use multimedia to highlight pressing policy issues from around the world.

Faizan Imran is a second-year graduate student in Computational Analysis & Public Policy (CAPP) at the University of Chicago with a background in economics and political science. As Co-Executive Editor, Data Analytics, he brings experience from New York City’s Department of Finance, where he contributed to custom R packages for property-modeling workflows and built Python dashboards to assist property assessors in valuating properties.

Ipsita Iyer is a second-year Master of Public Policy student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. As Co-Executive Editor, Data Analytics, she draws on academic and field work spanning climate-vulnerability research and program-implementation studies. She brings together skills in statistical modeling, econometric analysis, survey design, and policy-brief writing to deliver rigorous, data-driven storytelling on the policy challenges that matter most.

Amen Bekele is a second-year Master of Public Policy student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. She holds a BA in Neuroscience and Business Administration. Her interests lie in development economics, competition, and market behavior. As Director of Communications, she is excited to continue CPR’s legacy by shaping how the publication looks, sounds, and connects with its audience.
